Recorded in the artist's hometown of Kansas City at just 18 years old, this collection of songs feature some of Leimer's earliest penned works. Its release was followed by the 17 show "Dorm Room Tour" along the East Coast in the fall of 2015 booked entirely by Leimer himself through friends at numerous universities and which culminated in a performance at The Grammy Museum at L.A. Live in 2016. Album photography by Max Mikulecky. Produced by Connor Leimer and Max Griffith. Mastered by Alan Silverman in New York, NY.

“The Wife Who Waited“ is included as a hidden track on the 10th anniversary gatefold vinyl edition of “Postcard” along with a newly written album forward written.

10th Anniversary Vinyl Edition – Album Forward by Pete Francis:

“For whatever reason, I’m not sure why, but I want to fly to a Brazilian city, let’s say, Rio, rent a fairly beat-up convertible and play Connor Leimer’s record, ‘Postcard.’ There is nothing to say that his music is similar to Brazilian music. But, to me, his voice lends itself to that of a carefree storyteller in a foreign land, free and eager to meet and discuss the world through his art.

I feel this way when I hear a Lou Reed song. Both Reed and Leimer have a sung/spoken delivery that I love. Finding one’s true voice is perhaps the greatest challenge of any songwriter. Postcard, written and recorded in Leimer’s later teenage years, is a record that feels confident without any pretense. The horns on ‘6 Days Ago’ feel joyous and celebratory, the duet with Gracie Schram on ‘Keep Knocking’ has wonderful charm and is a standout track, and ‘Doorbell’ has that Van Morrison comfort in the groove and mellow guitar tone.

The musicianship on ‘Postcard’ is quite strong. It is a well-recorded piece of work. It is lighthearted and does not take itself too seriously. Yet, the lyrics and melodies are sincere and delivered with conviction and style. As artists, it is our duty to deliver work with inherent life and vitality. ‘Postcard’ does just that. These songs feel free and invite the listener to daydream and ponder. They give me the feeling of just reading a postcard from a friend, maybe even sent from a quaint town just outside of Rio, telling the story of a young songwriter's reflections on love, life, and the exploration of his heart.”
